The Samsung SGH – d807 is a slim, GSM quad band cellular phone offered by Cingular. It is the follow up product to Samsung’s T809 released for T-Mobile and both are two of six new Samsung slider phones for North America announced on January 4,2006. Users of the SGH-D807 also have the freedom to use the phone internationally with the quad band GSM network. The SGH-D807 improves on the T809’s 1.0MP camera to a 1.3MP camera, however has a lower resolution 262,144 color TFT display of 176 x 220 pixels and a stationary camera. Other features of the SGH-d807 include: Bluetooth, video recorder, MobiTV video streaming, EDGE class 10, multi-language support, picture and ringer IDs, voice dialing, custom graphics and ringtones, WAP browser, instant messaging, Email client, MMS and two-way text messaging, Java (J2ME), music player supporting MP3/AAC, AAC+/eAAC+, microSD memory slot, speakerphone, alarm, calculator, currency converter, calendar, syncML, to do list, voice memo, and games.The d807 measures 99.54 (131.99 mm when extended) x 51.57 mm and is 16.7mm thick. Samsung reports that the 3.7v Li-Ion battery delivers 5 hours of talk time and 240 hours of standby time.
