Samsung decided to go early with 3nm, generating interest as TSMC's customers seek hedging and a second source. We anticipate Samsung’s 2nd-generation SF3 process (to be used in mainstream Samsung products and their fabless partner products) to increase choice in the highly dynamic ASIC accelerator market and capture market share from TSMC.
