According to Canon, the DIGIC 5+ Image Processor brings significant increases in processing speed and power. Data processing performance is 17x faster than the Canon DIGIC 4 Image Processor. The Digic 5+ is jointly designed by Canon and Texas Instruments and analysis of the process features show it to be fabricated at UMC. This Functional Analysis Report focuses on the device floor plan and block level functionality, to give an architectural understanding of the die. It also provides process analysis sufficient to determine generation and key features.
