The Samsung SGH-t509 was unveiled at the CTIA Wireless 2006 Trade Show for use on T-Mobile networks. The 10.15 mm thick SGH-t509 supports tri-band (850/1800/1900MHz) cellular service and includes a 65,536 color TFT display with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. Other features include an integrated VGA camera with video capture, Bluetooth 1.2 connectivity, EDGE data, speaker phone, photo caller ID, instant messaging, picture messaging, text messaging, voice notes, HiFi ringers, games, T9 predictive text, vibrating alert, calendar, and polyphonic ring tones. The unit was made in Korea and measures 117.04 x 47.17 x 10.15 mm with a weight of 71.3 grams including the battery. A 3.7V, 900mAh battery weighing 17.2 grams powers the SGH-t509 for a claimed 3.5 hours talk time and 168 hours standby.
