This blog post presents a cursory comparison between MediaTek’s RF transceivers MT6195W and MT6197W. While the latter design followed two years after the former, it is not a replacement for that. Based on the previously published floorplan and RF architecture analyses, some physical and architectural features are compared. As particular circuit aspects, the resonator structures in selected receive PLL oscillators are discussed in some detail.
