The Huawei Mate X5 is a new foldable smartphone from Huawei. It is 14.76 mm thick at the thickest part when folded and 8.82 mm thick when unfolded.

In comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, both of the Mate X5 Fold OLED displays are larger (7.85 and 6.4 inch vs 7.5 and 6.2 in). The Huawei has larger capacity batteries than Samsung’s device. Both smartphones have 12 GB RAM and 512 Flash memory. They have a similar camera setup - two front cameras (4 MP and 10 MP in Samsung, two 8 MP in Huawei) and three rear cameras. The Z Fold5 has a 50 MP Main, 10 MP Telephoto, and 12 MP Ultra-Wide Angle. The Mate X5 has a 50 MP Main, 12 MP Telephoto, and 13 MP Ultra-Wide Angle.

Samsung used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen two, while Huawei used HiSilicon’s Kirin 9000S.
