Notebook PC shipments in North America totaled 14.8 million units in the first quarter of 2024, a growth of 14% versus the same period a year ago, largely driven by early AI PC momentum. Softening inflation along with COVID-era repurchases, Windows 10 end of service, and the introduction of next generation AI-capable notebook PCs will drive strong demand for notebooks over the next two years. The notebook PC market is expected to continue to recover throughout 2024 and achieve 8% growth versus 2023, with double-digit growth projected for 2025.
