The global tablet applications processor (AP) market revenue grew nearly 17 percent year-on-year in Q4 2024 along with a 3.3 percent increase in processor shipment volume over the same period. Apple iPad Apps Processors (A-series and M-Series) continues to dominate the total market with 63 percent share of overall tablet Apps Processor revenue in Q4 2024. x86-based APs, driven by Intel, declined slightly to 6.6 percent unit share and 7.6 percent revenue share as tablet PC sales have yet to experience market bump due to new mobile processors. Meanwhile Qualcomm debut of their new Oryon CPU design Elite X apps processor has started to eat away at Intel's traditional market.
