Last month, the Microprocessor Report team analyzed devices from different markets including Intel’s Arrow Lake for desktop PCs where Intel added a neural processing unit (NPU). Microprocessor Report also covered Altera’s Agilex 3 field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA) for edge AI and Qualcomm’s ultralow-cost Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 smartphone system-on-chip (SoC). November was flooded with tariff “what-if” news related to the US transition in power with Trump’s victory. Compared to October, which remarkably saw over 200 new logic devices launched, November was on the lighter side with only 50 devices announced; the key specifications are highlighted in this report.
