The global 5G handset industry’s shipments grew by double digits in Q4 2024, revenues managed to grow single digits. Apple remains the leader in 5G shipments and revenues. Meanwhile, Samsung is the largest Android 5G smartphone vendor and is the world’s second-largest 5G vendor overall in terms of shipments and revenues.
Transsion is the biggest vendor in LTE shipments and revenues. Transsion has made a significant rise to become the top 4G vendor. The infrastructure shift in Africa will fuel Transsion’s future growth in this segment.
Average selling prices (ASPs) in 5G and 4G keep declining. Apple leads the 5G ASP ranking, whereas Huawei is the top vendor in the 4G ASP ranking.
