The global smartphone installed base is expected to rise 2% YoY to 4.7 billion units in 2025. Android and Apple iOS will maintain their dual leadership positions. Huawei's Harmony OS will remain the third-largest smartphone OS by installed base, though its presence is and will be limited to mainland China. It is forecasted to displace iOS as the second-largest OS platform in terms of installed base from 2026 onwards.
