This report presents a basic functional analysis of the Texas Instruments 343S0628 touch screen transmitter integrated circuit (IC). The 343S0628 IC was extracted from the Apple iPhone 5. The 343S0628 IC die markings are CDPF3246B0. This report contains: • Package photographs with annotated functional blocks and memories, • Measurements of vertical and horizontal dimensions of major microstructural features, • SEM cross-sectional micrographs of dielectric materials, major features, and transistors, • Plan-view optical micrographs of the die delayered to poly, • Identification of major functional blocks, • Cost of die and tested package die, based on the manufacturing cost analysis of the observed process.
