Lenovo-Motorola’s global smartphone shipments grew a strong double digit 28% YoY in Q2 2024 outperforming the global smartphone market which grew 8% YoY. The growth is driven by strong performance in its key market North America and other growth engines like Asia Pacific (especially India), Middle East Africa and Western Europe. India’s Moto shipment grew in triple digits 180% YoY and remained ahead of Mexico capturing third position after USA and Brazil. Globally, the market share of Motorola in global smartphone market grew to 5% from 4% in Q2 2023. Wholesale revenue grew inline with the growth of shipment volume at 28% YoY.
