STMicroelectronics Launches the Fully Integrated UWB Solution with IEEE 802.15.4z and 4ab Standards

Following Mobile World Congress 2026, on March 10, STMicroelectronics launched the ST64UWB family of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) chips. Aided by artificial intelligence (AI) and its 18 nm FD-SOI (Fully Depleted-Silicon on Insulator) process technology, ST64UWB is claimed to be the first solution to integrate the IEEE 802.15.4z and 4ab standards – promising best-in-class performance, enabling new use cases, and enhancing the user experience.
