Semiconductor sales continued to rise at an annual rate close to 30% with the shortage driving demand. The IC weather rose 1°F last week. Semiconductor Sales growth continues to soar as last year's shortage-inspired surge continues.
Zooming in on NAND this week, 13-wk MA growth is holding in the low to mid-double-digit range. Growth is forecast to slow and finish 2022 around +15% Y/Y while reaching $70B.
TechInsights' IC Supply/Demand indices were stable last week, with the exception of More than Moore Foundry slipping to Saturated from Loose, while Auto ICs stayed at Shortage levels, as did DRAMs. Also unchanged were More Moore Foundry, NAND, IDM, OSAT, and Analog & Power. Overall conditions remain Tight, where they have been since 24 Sep 21.
