Global smartphone shipments jumped by 10% YoY in Q1 2024, signalling that emerging countries show more clear signs of stabilization. Several Chinese brands including Tecno, Honor, Xiaomi and Huawei drove the shipments growth. Apple and Samsung became the number one smartphone vendors in six countries respectively while Xiaomi became the number one vendor in Russia and India.
