Global Smartphone Shipments Forecast by Vendor by Region by Quarter

TechInsights slightly tweaked up 2024 global smartphone shipment forecast number in this version, to factor the better-than-expected Q3 2024 actual results driven by Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo and Lenovo-Motorola. For Q4 2024, the latest forecast broadly remained without major updates. However, for 2025, we have lowered the forecast number. The improved outlook in both Asia Pacific and Central & Latin America cannot offset the downward adjustments for the rest regions. We expect global smartphone shipments will grow 5% and 1% respectively in 2024 and 2025 respectively. Samsung shall continue leading the market in 2024 but would be surpassed by Apple for the first time in 2025. This report forecasts global smartphone shipments by region by quarter for 38 of the world's largest vendors from 2015 to 2025.
