Infineon ICE186EM CoolSET ZVS Flyback Con. SJ MOSFET PMIC Essentials and Package
2 Min Read May 15, 2026
Infineon ICE186EM integrates flyback SMPS functions in a single package, using CT‑Link to enable isolated communication without an optocoupler.

The Infineon Technologies ICE186EM belongs to the CoolSET™ SiP ICE1 Family 100EM series, designed to simplify flyback-topology SMPS designs through high-level system integration. Its proprietary coreless transformer (CT)-Link technology provides reinforced isolated communication between the primary and secondary sides, eliminating the need for a conventional optocoupler while enabling reliable data transfer across the isolation barrier. Integrated in a single PG-DSO-27-1 package, the device combines an 800 V avalanche-rugged CoolMOS™ P7 power MOSFET (0.39 Ω typical RDS(ON), 2.0 A rated drain current), primary-side PWM control, secondary-side synchronous rectification (SR) control, closed-loop feedback circuitry, and an isolated enable signal path.
