The Apple Pencil Pro 2024, purchased from the European market, introduces advanced features such as squeeze gestures, barrel roll, double-tap, and pencil hover. Designed for the latest iPad Pro and Air models, it offers a leap in connectivity with Bluetooth, Thread, Zigbee, and NFC, a notable improvement over the Bluetooth-only 2nd-generation Pencil.
Equipped with a Bosch Sensortec gyroscope and an NFC tag by NXP, it enables precise controls and seamless pairing. Powering its advanced capabilities are two STMicroelectronics application processors, supported by a Nordic nRF52833 for multi-protocol connections.
The Pencil Pro features a 50mAh battery, a 12-layer main board, and durable construction with molded plastic enclosures and stainless steel internals. It remains slightly heavier than its predecessor but offers significant improvements in functionality and energy efficiency.
