NXP Launches S32K5 Microcontroller Family for Zonal SDV Architectures
Discover NXP’s new S32K5 MCU family for SDV architectures, featuring 16nm FinFET with MRAM, scalable multicore performance, and integrated hardware-software to accelerate time to market.
NXP has introduced the S32K5 microcontroller family for zonal software-defined vehicle (SDV) architectures. Offering a multicore architecture, the S32K5 family is designed to scale to meet the performance needs of OEM and Tier 1 customers. It leverages NXP's CoreRide platform to enable faster time to market and reduced lifecycle costs while providing a tightly integrated hardware and software environment. NXP claims that this will be the first instance of an automotive MCU using 16 nm FinFET with embedded magnetic RAM (MRAM) technology.
