Samsung shipped 53.1 million smartphones globally in Q4 2023, down 9% YoY, largely blaming the soft demand in mature markets and the intensified competition in emerging markets. Samsung’s smartphone wholesale revenue posted annual decline. However, thanks to the optimized manufacturing and operating costs, Samsung’s profit margin remained in the double-digit zone this quarter and enjoyed significant growth on a yearly basis.
